March Pioneer Primary Update

Here is the latest from Pioneer Ward Primary.

This month, we are learning the scripture 2 Nephi 31:20: Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.  We encourage all primary families to study this in their homes. Sign off their bookmark when your child learns it, and they will receive a small treat from the primary presidency.

The new Children and Youth program asks that each child in senior primary set at least one goal in each of four areas (spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual) this year.  Please help your children to set and work on their goals.

Our primary is learning some great songs this month. The following is our current list for 2020 with the most recent songs listed first:

  • A Child’s Prayer
  • Praise to the Man
  • Books of the Book of Mormon
  • Nephi’s Courage
  • The Iron Rod
  • Search, Ponder, and Pray
We have recently discovered a church app called Sing Along (or Sing Along Hymns). It offers the hymns and primary songs played with pictures, words, and a bouncing ball. Within the app, you can easily create your own playlists. It’s very easy to use and each song is well done. We highly recommend that you download this app and create a 2020 Primary playlist.

November Update

June Update

Our scripture for the month of June is Alma 17:2-3: "...They were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God.  But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God.
