Here is the latest from Pioneer Ward Primary. This month, we are learning the scripture 2 Nephi 31:20: Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.   We encourage all primary families to study this in their homes. Sign off their bookmark when your child learns it, and they will receive a small treat from the primary presidency. The new Children and Youth program asks that each child in senior primary set at least one goal in each of four areas (spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual) this year.  Please help your children to set and work on their goals. We are so excited to study the Book of Mormon in primary this year.  Our desire is that each of the children will grow in testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon , that Christ is their Savior, and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who restored the gospel to the earth. To this end, our primary has instituted the following for 2020: A scripture each month, taken from the Come, Follow Me reading assignments, to study and learn. A bookmark, given to each child, listing our monthly scriptures with a place beside each for parent initials.  During the assigned month, we encourage you to study the listed scripture with your child as part of your family Come, Follow Me lessons.  When your child has memorized the passage (or their appropriate ability equivalent... you know your child best), initial in the blank box beside the scripture.  Your child can then show the presidency their bookmark on Sunday to get a small treat.
