November Update

Our scripture of the month is Ether 12:41: And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever.  Amen. November Birthdays 2: Preston S 13: Carter C 16: Paislee S 25: Gabe G 26: Alora F 27: Sis. October Update

We hope that you are doing well and that each family enjoyed fall break together. Let us know if your child memorizes the scripture and we will stop by with a small treat. October birthdays: 1: Hannah G. 13: Rigdon A., Brother Turley 18: Allison N.

September Update

Our primary scripture for the month is 3 Nephi 5:13: Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life. If your child has memorized any of our bookmark/monthly scriptures for which they have not received their prize, let their teacher know and we will make sure to drop by with a small treat. The Primary General Presidency has asked that each family hold their own Primary Program due to their cancellation at the ward level.  You may want to sing some of the songs that we learned in the beginning of the year or those that we were going to learn together.  You might ask your children to share their testimonies or to share what they have learned from their study of the Book of Mormon this year.   Here is our Primary Playlist for the songs that were to be learned in our primary in 2020.  Or you might use the Sing-Along app from the church, which is a fantastic resource. August Update

We hope you have had an enjoyable summer and that the upcoming school year is looking bright. The Pioneer Ward primary scripture for this month is Alma 53:20: And they were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all---they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted. We welcome the McLeskey family to our ward and our primary.  We look forward to getting to know Madison, Logan, and Parker. Congratulations to our newly baptized friends!  Derek, Pierce, and Georgia were baptized last month.  We are so pleased and excited for them. Do you have senior primary children?  Now would be a great time for them to refocus on the goals they set earlier this year and to make new ones.  As a reminder, each child should work toward a goal from each of the four categories: spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social.  If you need a refresher on the church's Children and Youth  progr

May Update

Our scripture for this month seems especially important to remember as we all deal with the effects of Covid 19 and our separation.  It is Mosiah 23:15: "...Every man should love his neighbor as himself, that there should be no contention among them." The songs that we would appreciate being introduced in your home this month are: I Will be Valiant When We're Helping, We're Happy I am Like a Star I Know That My Savior Loves Me Please add these to your Sing-Along app playlist if you use that method.  I will add them to the youtube playlist in case you prefer that instead.  See previous blog posts if you have questions about these options. If any of your children have lost their bookmarks listing the monthly scriptures, or if you would like a parent copy, please call or text Elke Rushton to arrange a time to pick some up. Happy birthday this month to the following primary members: 4: Sister Green 11: Zach Newton 13: Olivia Small 18: Pierce Ru
