September Update

Our primary scripture for the month is 3 Nephi 5:13: Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life. If your child has memorized any of our bookmark/monthly scriptures for which they have not received their prize, let their teacher know and we will make sure to drop by with a small treat. The Primary General Presidency has asked that each family hold their own Primary Program due to their cancellation at the ward level.  You may want to sing some of the songs that we learned in the beginning of the year or those that we were going to learn together.  You might ask your children to share their testimonies or to share what they have learned from their study of the Book of Mormon this year.   Here is our Primary Playlist for the songs that were to be learned in our primary in 2020.  Or you might use the Sing-Along app from the church, which is a fa...

August Update

We hope you have had an enjoyable summer and that the upcoming school year is looking bright. The Pioneer Ward primary scripture for this month is Alma 53:20: And they were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all---they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted. We welcome the McLeskey family to our ward and our primary.  We look forward to getting to know Madison, Logan, and Parker. Congratulations to our newly baptized friends!  Derek, Pierce, and Georgia were baptized last month.  We are so pleased and excited for them. Do you have senior primary children?  Now would be a great time for them to refocus on the goals they set earlier this year and to make new ones.  As a reminder, each child should work toward a goal from each of the four categories: spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social.  If you need a refresher on the church's ...

April Update

Our scripture of the month for April is 3 Nephi 11:7:  Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name - hear ye him.  As we focus on the First Vision and restoration of the Church during this General Conference and prepare for Easter next Sunday, we hope you will take the time to help your children memorize this scripture and learn to hear Him. We love your children and look forward to the time when we can meet with them again in Primary. Love, The Primary Presidency

March Pioneer Primary Update

Image
Here is the latest from Pioneer Ward Primary. This month, we are learning the scripture 2 Nephi 31:20: Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.   We encourage all primary families to study this in their homes. Sign off their bookmark when your child learns it, and they will receive a small treat from the primary presidency. The new Children and Youth program asks that each child in senior primary set at least one goal in each of four areas (spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual) this year.  Please help your children to set and work on their goals. Our primary is learning some great songs this month. The following is our current list for 2020 with the most recent songs listed first: A Child’s Prayer Praise to the Ma...
